Hi there!


I'm Naomi and I'll be the photographer for Northern Lebanon's production of Mamma Mia this year.


There are few things I love more than having a backstage pass to each musical and seeing it come together in the end. Thank you for the opportunity!


All photography will take place at the school during rehearsal hours.

Important dates are as follows:


Thursday, Jan. 22 -- Actor headshots

Thursday, Feb 19 -- Costume photos

TBD -- Dress rehearsal photos

March 5-8 -- Print table available at every show


I realize this process may look a little different from traditional musical theatre photography, but please know that there is thoughtful intention and artistic vision behind every decision I make.


As you keep scrolling, I'll walk you through the process.

First and foremost, you are under no obligation to purchase any photography, but I am trying my hardest to make it a difficult choice! 😉

Now let's talk about the fun part.

Actor headshots


Do you know what every single actor has gotten since the dawn of time?

Nope, it's not a facelift.... it's a headshot!


This creative image is a must-have for every working actor. It gives agents and directors a quick glimpse of their personality and camera features. As such, they are a little more high-end and artistic.

They aren't always smiling.


Go ahead... Google search for "McKenna Grace or "Timothee Chalamet headshot."

You'll see what I mean.


Headshots are frequently black and white, which lends them more artistic edge.

But for you... you'll be able to choose between color or b&w.


Aaand... we're going to get some smiling ones, too.

In fact, you'll have an assortment of poses in both color and black and white to choose from in your gallery.


Which, by the way, will be delivered to you in your own personal gallery link.


Which is why I need you to register your info!

These are not school photos


I mean.. they could be school photos, but not like they're done today.

Not with the 30-second conveyor belt approach.


I'm going to take 3-5 minutes with each actor and guide them into the best shot possible within our short period of time. Keep in mind, it's still short for what we're trying to achieve.


But there are a few things you can do to increase your chances of landing an amazing shot.

Most importantly, choose the right outfit

Which brings us to......

- THE CLOTHING GUIDE -

Selecting the right outfit and accessories

Begin by focusing on your upper body, as that will be the main feature of your photo.

Do you have a favorite shirt, sweater, or outfit that you feel great in?

Wear that.


Next, take a moment to consider the color.

Since we are using a light backdrop, there are some colors that photograph better than others.

White, for instance, is a big no-no.

Look for clothing that is in the medium color range, avoiding colors that are either too light or too dark.


Colors that work well:

  • Gray
  • Beige or brown
  • Any medium colors--pink, blue, green, red, purple, etc.
  • Denim


Colors that don't work well:

  • White (unless you like the floating head look)
  • Light pink, orange, or yellow (can make your skin look weird)
  • Black (it hides too many details)
  • Navy (ditto)


Wearing something with a simple pattern is perfectly fine but, typically,

solid colors will provide a cleaner look.


Pssst....... Do you need a haircut?

Schedule it before Jan 22!

  • Hats
  • Shirts with logos or writing
  • Stains or unintentional holes in clothing
  • Sweatshirts
  • Unbrushed teeth 🤢
  • Bedhead--spend some time on your hair; you won't regret it!

i highly recommend making an outfit plan a few days before

Photos of each actor in their costume will occur on Feb 19th during rehearsal.
Galleries will again be made available for purchase online.

Additionally, there will be a limited selection of prints available at every performance night if you come see me at the print table.

And of course, I'll take a full cast photo and fully document the show!!!
