Every actor needs a headshot.

That's where I come in.

While a print purchase is completely optional for your child's participation in the musical, you may find that you will get some images like you've never seen before.

That is the goal.

NCCS Headshots will take place on Saturday January 27th, 2024

Pre-registration is highly recommended.

White backdrop

I photograph against a white backdrop to create a bright, timeless portrait that your child won't get lost in.

Black & White or color

Each gallery will come with 3-5 poses in both color and black and white so you can choose what you like best to print.

a fun, artistic alternative

My approach is to take the time with each student to create art that you would be proud to display on your wall.

Please note: Costume portraits and performance photos will be scheduled and made available at a later date

-- How to Look Your Best --

Selecting the right outfit and accessories

(please share this part with your budding actor)

First, focus primarily on the upper half of your body since that is what will be featured the most in your photo.

Do you have a favorite shirt, sweater, or outfit that you feel great in?

Wear that.

Second, take a moment to consider the color.

Since we are using a white backdrop, there are some colors that photograph well and some that don't.

Look for clothing that is in the medium color range, avoiding colors that are either too light or too dark.

Colors that work well:

  • Gray
  • Beige or brown
  • Any medium colors--pink, blue, green, red, purple, etc.
  • Denim

Colors that don't work well:

  • White (unless you like the floating head look)
  • Light pink, orange, or yellow (can make your skin look weird)
  • Black (it hides too many details)
  • Navy (ditto)

Wearing something with a simple pattern is perfectly fine but, typically,

solid colors will provide a cleaner look.

Pssst....... Do you need a haircut?

Schedule it before January 27!

Please don't show up with any of the following:

  • Hats
  • Shirts with logos
  • Stains or unintentional holes in clothing (ripped jeans are ok but you probably won't see them)
  • Sweatshirts
  • Unbrushed teeth
  • Bedhead--spend some time on your hair; you won't regret it!

i highly recommend making an outfit plan a few days before

Don't wait until the night before or the morning of the shoot.

Your future self will thank you.

(And so will I)
