Every actor deserves a great headshot— and that’s where I come in!

While purchasing prints is entirely optional for your child’s participation in the musical, you might end up with some truly unique images—ones you’ve never seen before.

That’s the goal!

NCCS Headshots will take place on Wednesday, Feb 19, 2024

1:00-4:30 during rehearsal.

White backdrop

I photograph against a white backdrop to create a bright, timeless portrait where your kid is the main feature.

Black & White or color

Each gallery will come with 3-5 poses in both color and black and white so you can choose what you like best to print or download.

a fun, artistic alternative

I take a few minutes with each student to create artwork you'll be proud to showcase on your wall.

Please note: Costume portraits and performance photos will be scheduled and made available at a later date

-- How to Look Your Best --

Selecting the right outfit and accessories

(please share this part with your budding actor)

Start by focusing on your upper body, as that will be the main feature of your photo.

Do you have a favorite shirt, sweater, or outfit that you feel great in?

Wear that.

Next, take a moment to consider the color.

Since we are using a white backdrop, there are some colors that photograph better than others.

White, for instance, is a big no-no.

Look for clothing that is in the medium color range, avoiding colors that are either too light or too dark.

Colors that work well:

  • Gray
  • Beige or brown
  • Any medium colors--pink, blue, green, red, purple, etc.
  • Denim

Colors that don't work well:

  • White (unless you like the floating head look)
  • Light pink, orange, or yellow (can make your skin look weird)
  • Black (it hides too many details)
  • Navy (ditto)

Wearing something with a simple pattern is perfectly fine but, typically,

solid colors will provide a cleaner look.

Pssst....... Do you need a haircut?

Schedule it before Feb 19!

Please don't show up with any of the following:

  • Hats
  • Shirts with logos
  • Stains or unintentional holes in clothing
  • Sweatshirts
  • Unbrushed teeth
  • Bedhead--spend some time on your hair; you won't regret it!

i highly recommend making an outfit plan a few days before

Don't wait until the night before or the morning of the shoot.

Your future self will thank you.

(And so will I)
