I made the mistake once of hiring a photographer based purely on her camera skills and her pricing. She took really nice photos! No doubt. We loved the images. What I didn't love? The experience.
There was no personal connection. No process in place for guiding us through. During the session itself, there was very little effort to interact. No names were learned. No questions were asked. My kids were pointed at when she needed to identify them (seriously?). And follow-up was zilch afterward. 🤨
It was like being on a bad date.
But heyyy... six weeks later, we had great photos! Does it matter that they make me cringe a little? 🤦♀️
Now, I'm not trying to throw anyone under the bus. Looking back, I suspect that her pricing was so low that she had to take on a LARGE volume of clients simply to meet her costs of doing business, so... I get it. She didn't have the time or mental energy to put in all those details.
But I'm not running my business like that. Nope.
With me, you're going to get the full service experience. We'll connect several times during the process. I'll help you with your wardrobe and location, making it as easy as humanly possible all the way through. It's an investment I make into you.
And guess what? My pricing reflects that.
Session Fee: $250
In order to reserve your date, a fee of $250 is required for your session. This pays for the work I do upfront organizing your photo session, my time and talent the day of the shoot, and professional editing of your images afterward. Because I am turning away other clients in order to serve you on your date, the session fee is non-refundable.
Immediate families only. Special rates for extended families are available.
Prints and digital images are purchased after you have had a chance to view your images, ensuring that you only pay for what you love.
